Who are you and what do you do?
'I work for a local housing association as a financial inclusion advisor. I assist tenants with money advice and budgeting and applying for welfare benefits. My main hobbies and interests are walking my two beagles for miles across the countryside and also baking. I have a small cake business and make specialist cakes for all occasions.'
Why do you choose to live in Preston?
'I like living in Preston as it is nice and quiet and only five minutes from work. Preston is a very small farming village with no shops and only a village hall.'
What's your favourite place in Preston and why?
'To the back of my house there is a farm track which leads away up the hill. Depending on the time of year there are various walks that take you across farmland and through woods. This is lovely as the views across the hills are amazing, over to the Cheviot Hills and at some points you can see the North Sea. I like to sit up there with my dogs on a nice day and enjoy the peace and quiet.'
What is Preston proud of?
'Just a few hundred yards from Preston is Cumledge Mill. This used to be the site of a woollen mill, making Scotch 100% woollen blankets.'
Tell us something about Preston that people won't know?
'Over the hill from Preston is Edin's Hall Broch. This is the site of a hill fort built in the 2nd century during the Roman occupation of Scotland.'
